The North Shore Lifeguard Association organizes ocean safety clinics for most of the professional surfing contest and sponsor paddleboard races on the north Shore. There are many different events happening all year-around. Date Event – Distance 5/26/13 Run for George 8.2mi trail run 5/27/13 Paddle for George 3.5mi paddle race from Sunset to Waimea Bay.
